NC&AA is a non-profit service organization dedicated to advancing the education of concrete materials and construction practices. Our organization is committed to informing members of the leading-edge technology related to their respective disciplines via continuing education programs and networking opportunities.
As NC&AA has grown as an organization, so has its commitment to encouraging students to pursue careers in concrete-related fields and to enhance the level of professionalism and industry engagement of those students.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

NC&AA scholarships range in value from $1,000 to $4,000 and are awarded annually. Half the amount will be distributed to the student and the University at the beginning of each semester. NC&AA reserves the right to adjust the number and value of its scholarships. In addition to the cash scholarship prize, the recipient will receive a complimentary one-year NC&AA student membership and complimentary registrations for all NC&AA continuing education opportunities for one year after the scholarship(s) award date.

SUBMISSION PROCESS AND TIMELINE

Completed applications, including essays, letter(s) of recommendation, and transcripts, must be received by April 15.

Applications will be reviewed & awarded by the NC&AA Scholarship Committee. Awarded individuals will be notified by July 15.

The NC&AA scholarship(s) will be awarded at our Annual NC&AA Golf Outing in York, Nebraska, on the 1st Monday of August.

EVALUATION

Applicants will be evaluated on:

Involvement in concrete related activities

Involvement in professional student organizations

Involvement in extra-curricular activities

Work experience – both concrete and non-concrete
related (such as internships and research in concrete
related fields)

Written essay (100 words or less)

Letter of recommendation

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

Students must be residents of Nebraska and enrolled full-time in a college within the State of Nebraska or majoring in a Concrete Industry Management program from other colleges in the Midwest.

Applicants’ majors must be related to concrete materials or concrete construction. NC&AA Scholarships support both Associate and Bachelor degrees.

The NC&AA Scholarship Committee will review applications from qualified students and rank them based on their proven interest in advancing design and construction incorporating cast-in-place concrete.
